For about a year, Del Bagno joined the community which runs Guhyaloka Meditation Retreat Center located in the coastal mountains near Alicante, Spain.

“I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to live within such a full-on meditative situation. Those were some of the best days of my life. I learned to drive a stick-shift Range Rover on those rough mountain roads, was able to garden in a Mediterranean climate and spent my days in recitation (of Amitabha’s name), reflection and study. I arrived there with a bag full of Pure Land texts, commentaries and histories and left confident that I had accepted the help which Amitabha Buddha is offering and that my enlightenment waits for me in his Pure Land.”
