Amitabha’s Name

Anywhere and everywhere
I come back to Amitabha’s name.
It is the kernel,
The jewel
Of perfected consciousness.
The Buddha-name has been set in motion by Amitabha Buddha
To spin out across the cosmos,
And it has landed within my heart.
There, it echoes in swirls,
it whirls,
As if wisps of fog inside a clear globe
lit from within
With the awesome golden glow
of Amitabha’s spiritual power.
The intensity of his wisdom
Is born from his experience of each momentary
Spark of insight in his meditation,
Which has now lasted for eons.
So, with the Buddha-name alive in my heart
I pass this life
As a return journey to Amitabha.
